Free ring sizing :

If you don’t know the ring size, and the gift is a surprise:
Here’s how to make a fairly accurate guess. The average Mother’s ring size is 7, and this would be for a woman who weighs about 165 lbs. If your Mom weighs 200 lbs, her ring size is probably 9. If she weighs 130 lbs, her ring size is probably 6. If you guess wrong, most local jewelry stores can size a ring while you wait, and the average charge is about $20 to take a ring up or down a size.

How to measure your ring size :

There is no cost for sizing your ring and we've provided two methods below to accurately
measure your ring size.

  • First, if you have an existing band that fits (but you don't know the size), then print out this page and place the band over the circles below. Choose the size of the circle that best fits the inner edge of the actual band.

Please don't try doing this on your computer screen, because some screens will display these circles at different sizes. In adition, some printers will reproduce the page slightly less than 100% of the actual size. To assure that you have an actual size print, use a ruler against the inch guide below. If it does not measure 6 inches, then try re-printing the page at a larger size (for example 110%) until your ruler matches the inch guide below.

Measurement guide : use a ruler to measure your print against this scale for accuracy.

  • As an alternate method, you can print the chart below and cut out the paper strips for each ring size. Wrap the strip around the ring finger (make sure you leave room for the ring to pass over the knuckle). The exact measurement for each ring size is shown on each strip. After you print this page, measure the distance with a ruler and mark the actual size shown beyond the red area if the print reproduces smaller than 100%.

The true measurement for each ring size is shown in the strip below.

Please note : if your ring size falls below 5 or over 12 you may purchase the closest size available from us and bring it to your local jeweler for resizing. Most jewelers charge about $20 to increase or decrease a ring 1 size up or down.
